INE Revises The 2021 GDP Four Tenths To 5.5%

The INE revises the 2021 GDP four tenths to 5.5%: consumption grew more than expected. The Spanish GDP registered in 2021 a growth in volume of 5.5% compared to 2020, according to the advance estimate of the Annual National Accounts of Spain. This data represents an increase of four tenths compared to the advance on March 31.

The new calculation with the new data available, points to a greater contribution from domestic demand (5.2%, compared to 4.7%) and a lower contribution from external demand (0.3%, compared to 0.5 %). Family consumption increased by 6.0% compared to the 4.6% advanced in March.
